Introducing Whit Webster, Calder’s Newest Mergers and Acquisition Advisor!
Calder Capital, a prominent mergers and acquisitions advisory firm, is delighted to announce the addition of Whit Webster to its team as an M&A advisor serving Philadelphia.
Originally hailing from Tampa, Florida, Whit now calls Philadelphia, Pennsylvania home. He holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Central Florida in Finance.
Whit’s professional journey has been marked by significant accomplishments. He previously was the Founder and Partner at Open Road Holdings, a private equity sponsor and served as the Vice President at Mangrove Equity Partners, a private equity fund. Whit also held the positions of Chairman and CEO at A Closer Look as well as the Director of M&A at Franklin Street. When asked what drew him to Calder Capital, Whit emphasized, “The culture as well as the systems and processes developed to support buyers and sellers.” He looks forward to his time at Calder Capital, noting, “I’m excited about working in a meritocracy with great people who are focused on helping high-achieving business owners realize the full value of what they’ve created.”
Whit’s favorite quote is from Theodore Roosevelt: “It is not the critic who counts; not the man who points out how the strong man stumbles, or where the doer of deeds could have done them better. The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena, whose face is marred by dust and sweat and blood; who strives valiantly; who errs, who comes short again and again, because there is no effort without error and shortcoming; but who does actually strive to do the deeds; who knows great enthusiasms, the great devotions; who spends himself in a worthy cause; who at the best knows, in the end, the triumph of high achievement, and who at the worst, if he fails, at least fails while daring greatly, so that his place shall never be with those cold and timid souls who neither know victory nor defeat.” This reminds him to take risks and embrace the challenges of life, knowing that even in failure, there is honor in the effort.
Whit’s motivation stems from his passion for helping others realize their full potential and being a resource to his clients. Outside of the office, he enjoys hanging with his family outside, with interests in surfing, skiing, adventure travel, and a commitment to lifelong learning. Above all his family is the most important thing in his life.

In his new role as an M&A Advisor at Calder Capital, Whit will be responsible for assisting clients in qualifying and vetting potential buyers, conducting due diligence, structuring deals, and navigating the intricate landscape of M&A transactions in the Philadelphia area.
