Introducing Greg Weess, Calder's Newest Sell-Side Associate!
Calder Capital, an award-winning national M&A advisory firm, is proud to announce the addition of Greg Weess as a new member of its team.
Originally from Frankenmuth, Michigan, Greg is a proud alumnus of Grand Valley State University (GVSU), where he completed his Bachelor’s in Finance. He has lived in Grand Rapids for the last six years.
Greg previously held a Business Valuation Analyst position at Vision ESOP Valuation and was a Growth and Strategy Analyst at Acrisure. During his time at GVSU, he was Vice President of the Seidman Investment Portfolio Organization, the school’s student-led investment group.
When asked about what led to his decision to join Calder, he shared, “After meeting with Max and Garrett, I quickly knew that Calder was not only a professional fit but a personal fit as well. They spoke highly of the team and explained what they value in an employee.” Regarding what he most looks forward to, he commented, “I look forward to building relationships with all members of the Calder team. Further, I am excited to assist in all aspects of the business as Calder continues to grow.”
Greg thrives under deadlines, where the drive for results fuels his self-improvement. Each completed task is an opportunity for feedback and growth, allowing him to refine and advance his skills.
Outside of his professional life, he loves being outdoors. On a day off, you can find Greg playing golf or watching his favorite sports teams: Michigan State, the Lions, the Pistons, and his utmost favorite, FC Bayern Munich. In addition to being a sports enthusiast, Greg is a sushi connoisseur. He and his girlfriend enjoy sushi dates sampling what the city has to offer. Their favorite places to eat are Maru Sushi and Beema Okaasan.

In his new capacity at Calder, Greg will join the Central Services team, who serve as the financial and operational cornerstone of Calder's sell-side practice. This team operates as an unseen yet essential force, diligently working on business valuations, crafting marketing materials, and strategically positioning each sell-side client to capture maximum attention from qualified buyers.
