What motivated you to become an M&A advisor?
Interest in business; this is a job that allows you to work with successful business people and get exposure to a lot of different industries and businesses.
How did you come to work at Calder Capital?
Worked with Max [Managing Partner at Calder Capital] as an intern, decided to stay with him full time because I trust Max fully and I believed in the vision he had to create the best M&A firm in West Michigan.
What kinds of businesses do you like to work with?
‘Blue collar’ industries.
What motivates you to work hard each day?
I believe we offer an important service to clients: to ensure they can sell their business to the right party and get our client the economic results they want, while ensuring that their former employees and company have abundant opportunities for the future.

What career advice would you give to your younger self?
Career advice? Probably to start a business rather than work for one. It’s hard to do when you’re 20 and don’t know anything though.
