About the CEPA Program

The Certified Exit Planning Advisor (CEPA) program is designed for business advisors who work closely with owners of privately held companies. The program focuses on Master Planning, aligning business, personal, and financial goals through the Value Acceleration Methodology™.

The executive MBA-style format includes a mix of lectures, group discussions, case studies, and individual exercises, helping advisors develop the expertise needed to guide business owners through successful exits and value optimization strategies. The program is led by the Exit Planning Institute’s faculty of experienced advisors, authors, and industry experts.

To receive the CEPA credential, Stone completed the rigorous five-day program, which involved approximately 100 hours of pre-course study, 30 hours of classroom instruction, and a three-hour proctored exam.
