Calder Capital, a nationwide mergers and acquisitions advisory firm, is thrilled to welcome Cade Peterson as its newest Buy-Side Associate.

Introducing Cade
Originally from Traverse City, Michigan, Cade brings a strong background in finance and business management, with experience in both private equity and business solutions. He previously worked at Blackford Capital, where he was involved in strategic financial analysis, as well as at ADP, where he gained insight into business operations and client relations. Cade holds a degree in Finance and Business Management from Grand Valley State University, where he not only excelled academically but also competed as a collegiate athlete, namely as the quarterback for the GVSU Lakers’ Football team.
When asked what led him to join Calder Capital, Cade cited the firm’s collaborative environment, consistent growth, and strong leadership in the M&A industry. “I was drawn to Calder because of its team-oriented culture and reputation for excellence. The firm’s continued expansion and strong leadership provide an exciting opportunity to contribute and grow in the world of M&A.”
Cade is eager to get started, adding, “I am most looking forward to working in a collaborative environment with those who have a passion for the M&A industry. Being able to pursue professional goals, continuing to build my skillset, and becoming a member of a thriving firm are just a few of the many reasons I am thrilled to be on the team!”
Beyond his professional ambitions, Cade is driven by a mindset of continuous improvement, making the most of each day and striving to be the best version of himself. He is motivated by the opportunity to pursue his passions and make a meaningful impact in both his personal and professional life.
Outside of work, Cade enjoys golfing, fishing, weightlifting, and grilling—all of which allow him to relax and stay active. A family man at heart, he is the oldest of three brothers, and all three played college football together. He also has a chocolate lab and a golden retriever—both of whom he admits bring out his softer side. A dedicated athlete, Cade even had the opportunity to participate in the Detroit Lions minicamp, an experience that reinforced his passion for teamwork and discipline.
In his new role as a Buy-Side Associate, Cade will work closely with clients to help them navigate the acquisition process, ensuring they identify the right opportunities and execute successful transactions. He will assist in market research, financial analysis, and target identification, helping clients refine their acquisition strategies and make informed decisions. His ability to analyze financial landscapes, develop strategic insights, and build strong relationships will be key in delivering value to Calder’s clients.
“Cade’s drive, competitive spirit, and team-oriented mindset make him a fantastic addition to Calder Capital. His background in finance and private equity, coupled with his strong leadership abilities, position him for great success in the M&A world. We’re thrilled to have him on board and look forward to seeing his contributions,” said Max Friar, Managing Partner of Calder Capital.
We’re excited to have Cade Peterson on the Calder Capital team and look forward to the energy and discipline he’ll bring. To learn more about Cade’s professional journey, connect with him on LinkedIn.
