Calder Capital is thrilled to announce that AQUALIS, a portfolio company of DFW Capital Partners, of Durham, North Carolina has acquired Northern Pipe of Green Bay, Wisconsin.
For more than two decades, AQUALIS has been at the forefront of sustainable water management, working diligently to preserve and protect the earth’s most precious resource. With headquarters in Durham, North Carolina, the company has earned a reputation as the leading provider of stormwater, wastewater, and freshwater management services. To further expand its reach and explore new opportunities, AQUALIS engaged Calder Capital’s Buy-Side team.
Northern Pipe has been serving the community of Wisconsin with reliable cleaning, inspecting, and repair services for wastewater collection systems since 1993. In 2014, the company was acquired by Tim Potts, a savvy business owner who also leads Directional Drilling Services, a previously affiliated company. Under Tim’s leadership, Northern Pipe has continued to thrive and has earned a reputation for its exceptional quality of service. The company’s team of experts will be a natural fit for the AQUALIS team and will be equipped to better their clients’ needs.
Hannah Nabhan of Calder Capital served as the lead Buy-Side Director to AQUALIS.
“When I feel the transition is in good hands I will be concentrating on my Directional Drilling Services Company and my Real Estate business,” Tim shared. “Hannah was great to work with!”
“We are excited to be expanding our capabilities in the Midwest where we have a dense customer portfolio. The acquisition of Northern Pipe will allow us to further expand our self-performing capabilities to existing customers as well as serve new customers looking for these professional wastewater and stormwater cleaning services. This acquisition also complements our existing service lines while expanding our line of services to further support the wastewater industry,” commented Erin Zaske, CDO of AQUALIS. “Hannah and the entire Calder Capital team were instrumental in identifying Northern Pipe as a potential target for acquisition as well as the initial conversations with Northern Pipe’s seller, Tim Potts, to gauge his interest in selling his business to AQUALIS.”
“AQUALIS is an experienced buyer who has simplified the acquisition process, allowing transactions to be quick and seamless. This is enticing to sellers and certainly is proven through AQUALIS’s continuous acquisition success,” Hannah commented. “Tim worked diligently to ensure Northern Pipe was going to fall into the right hands, and once he knew, it was full steam ahead. It’s impelling to see an acquisition evolve when both sides are eager to get a deal done. We are excited to see AQUALIS/DFW continue to expand its services and benefit the surrounding communities. Tim, we wish you nothing but success in the next chapter of your life!”
Calder Capital, LLC served as the exclusive Mergers and Acquisitions Advisor to AQUALIS.
