What motivated you to become an M&A advisor?
I’m a small business junkie who loves to help others fulfill their small business goals and dreams. And Calder is an amazing company to be a part of to do just that. Calder has a stellar team, track record of success and great unique selling proposition that adds massive value to our clients.
How did you come to work at Calder Capital?
I reached out to Max [Managing Partner at Calder Capital] via the website to inquire if there was an opportunity for me to add value to the team. And after connecting with Max, I let him know that he wouldn’t be able to get rid of me!
What kinds of businesses do you like to work with?
I love service-based businesses. In particular, I have a special appreciation for businesses designed to service business owners.
What motivates you to work hard each day?
I am motivated by my personal mission to, “Build Businesses that Bless the World.”
Also, I live vicariously through my client’s goals and dreams. It’s really exciting for me to serve clients in a way that helps them achieve their goals, fulfill their dreams and realize their ultimate vision.
Describe the wildest thing that’s ever happened to you at work/during a project.
The wildest thing that has ever happened to me at work was me running up a flight of stairs, hitting my head on the top of the concrete entryway of an older building and needing to be rushed by ambulance to the ER with a concussion. I know, it’s hard to picture. But I still have the dent in the top of my head to prove it.
What career advice would you give to your younger self?
Be humble. Be patient. Be open. Be creative. Be a continuous learner. Be a leader. Always be of value by solving problems, not just reporting them.
What is one thing that most people do not know about you?
In deep recesses of my mind, I’m a “real” super-hero – an elite, military trained special operative. Ok, so maybe I loved the TV series 24, (with Keifer Sutherland) a bit too much!
