Calder Capital is excited to welcome the newest addition to our team, Rob Stasiak!
Rob is a highly experienced Mergers and Acquisition (M&A) Advisor based in Southeast Michigan. With a deep understanding of the business transaction process and a wide range of industry expertise, he provides strategic and financial advice to buyers and sellers seeking to transact in the lower Middle Market. Rob helps clients identify potential target companies, conduct due diligence, negotiate and structure deals, and navigate the complex landscape of M&A transactions. With his unique combination of technical expertise, market knowledge, and a robust network of industry connections, Rob is able to create a competitive marketplace for clients looking to buy or sell businesses.
We’re Proud to Introduce Rob Stasiak!
Rob graduated from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor in 1994 with a Bachelor’s degree in General Studies from the College of Literature, Science, and the Arts. He is dedicated to continuous development and continues his education as a member of the International Business Brokers Association (IBBA).
As a native of West Bloomfield, Rob has knowledge of the local communities and economics of the area due to his lifelong residency in the area. He spent a brief period of time living in Ann Arbor during his college years, but continues to call West Bloomfield home.
Rob’s extensive experience in both business ownership and M&A make him well-suited to assist in the transition of businesses to new ownership. As a former business owner, he understands the dedication, challenges, and passion that comes with owning a business. He spent 30 years growing and developing his marketing business, working with notable companies such as General Motors, Jack Morton Worldwide, and George P. Johnson. Additionally, Rob has been working as a business intermediary since 2017 for a small business brokerage firm in Metro Detroit.
Coming from a strong marketing background, Calder’s unique market position and brand caught Rob’s eye. With that interest, he connected with Calder Capital’s Managing Partner, Max Friar. Rob shared that after talking with Max, he was impressed by the company’s success rates year after year, its culture, and high-level systemization. He knew then that him joining our team would be a natural fit. When asked what Rob is most looking forward to while working with Calder, he said, “I am looking forward to achieving stellar results working with such a well-orchestrated team and forming meaningful, working relationships.”
Rob is highly motivated and driven to achieve success, as demonstrated by his past achievements. He recognizes that motivation alone is not sufficient and places a strong emphasis on follow-through, sincerity, and straightforwardness in his interactions. He emphasizes efficiency, knowing that time is a valuable asset in reaching his goals. These core principles contribute to him building authentic and long-lasting relationships with those he interacts with. One of Rob’s goals while working with Calder is to become respected as an integral part of the team and add to the success of the company. His favorite quote, “It’s Better to Be a Warrior in a Garden Than a Gardener at War,” serves as a reminder to always be prepared and ready for action. We are excited to see all that he accomplishes.
When not working, Rob can be found planning surprise dates for his wife of 25 years. He has a 20-year-old son, currently in college studying to be a future lawyer and rows crew, and they have two Australian Shepherds, named Rico and Hobie. As a family, they enjoy exploring Michigan’s beautiful lakes & trails, trying new dining experiences, and taking trips to the Caribbean. In his free time, Rob enjoys weight training with his son, making superfood green drinks, looking for the next real estate investment, and playing an occasional game of Blackjack.
According to Calder Managing Partner, Max Friar, “From our first phone call, what I’ve appreciated about Rob is that he is a team player. He recognizes that if he follows a proven process, everyone – the buyer, seller, and Calder – will win. We are all looking forward to additional boots on the ground in metro Detroit and are very happy to have Rob on the Calder team!”
We are thrilled to have Rob join the Calder Capital team and are confident that his extensive knowledge of business will be a valuable asset to our clients. If you’re interested in learning more about Rob and his professional background, we encourage you to connect with him on LinkedIn. We are excited to see all the great things he will accomplish in his future with Calder Capital.
